Rose Gold Plated Rings

A soft, romantic pink tone, rose gold plating over 925 silver.

The Russian gold

Rose gold owes its color to copper mixed with gold. It became fashionable in nineteenth century Russia, notably in the work of the jeweler Carl Fabergé, and was long called Russian gold. In 1924 Louis Cartier combined white, yellow and rose gold in three interlocking rings, the famous Trinity. Our tri-color rolling ring follows that idea on 925 silver.

Plated, over 925 silver

The rings in this collection are 925 silver covered with a rose gold plating, not solid rose gold. The plating gives the warm blush of rose gold at the price of silver. Several designs, such as our half eternity band and our knot ring, come in rose, yellow or white, so the same ring can match the jewelry you already wear.

Who rose suits

Rose gold flatters almost every skin tone, from very fair to dark, which is part of its success. It gives white stones a soft vintage glow and pairs beautifully with pink stones, like the lab-created pink sapphire of one of our engagement rings. It also mixes well with yellow and white in a stack.

Making the color last

Rose plating wears slowly where the ring rubs, like any plating. Put perfume and cream on before the ring, take it off for sport, housework and swimming, and clean it with a soft damp cloth. Avoid silver polishing cloths, which would remove the pink layer. Stored in its own pouch, away from other jewelry, it keeps its color much longer.
