Toi et Moi Rings
Two stones side by side, you and me, on a single ring.
A ring born from a love story
Toi et moi means you and me in French. The design goes back to 1796, when Napoleon gave Josephine a ring with a diamond and a sapphire set next to each other. Two stones, two people, joined on the same band. It has come back strongly in recent years, and many couples now choose it as an engagement ring.
Matching or mismatched
The two stones can be identical, which gives a balanced, symmetrical look. They can also differ in shape, a pear next to an oval, or in color, a white stone next to a pink or blue one. The contrast is part of the charm, since each stone stands for one person with its own character.
Open bands and hearts
Many toi et moi rings use an open or crossover band, where each end of the ring carries one stone and the two meet on top of the finger. Our double heart ring follows that idea with two heart-shaped stones facing each other. Open bands also adjust slightly, which helps when buying as a surprise.
Wearing and caring
Because the stones sit side by side, a toi et moi ring is wider than a solitaire and looks best alone on the finger, or with a very thin band. Check that the two stones stay level. Clean it with warm water and a soft brush, and avoid squeezing an open band, which can bend over time.
