Stud Earrings in 925 Silver

A stud sits flat against the ear and holds its place all day. Ours are made in 925 silver and set with moissanite, sapphire or natural stone. Round cuts, princess cuts, halo settings, flowers, hearts. Small pieces you can put in and forget, from the D-Carats workshop.

The pair you reach for every morning

Nothing swings, nothing catches on a scarf or a coat collar. That is the whole point of a stud, and it is why so many people wear one pair from breakfast until bed. They go under a motorcycle helmet. They survive a twelve hour shift. A new piercing is nearly always fitted with a stud too, because no weight hangs on the lobe while it heals.

Stones and settings

Most of our moissanite stud earrings are cut round, princess, pear or emerald. Moissanite throws more fire than diamond and costs a small fraction of it, which is the reason we built the collection around it. Natural stones sit here as well, with London blue topaz, garnet, ruby and white sapphire. A halo setting rings the center stone with tiny pavé stones and makes the pair read larger on the ear. A cluster setting does the same job with several stones of matching size.

Shapes, and a word about men

The collection runs wider than the plain solitaire. There are crosses, flowers, hearts, love knots, an infinity design, a pair of angel wings. One pair is mismatched on purpose, with a polar star on one side. Men wear studs here too, and the black moissanite halo pair was drawn for that. Sizes stay deliberately small, so a second or third hole can carry its own stone without crowding the lobe.

Backs that hold

A stud is worth only as much as the back that keeps it on. Ours close with a friction back, and some, like the pear cut pair, use a lock back that clicks into place and will not work loose during the day. Silver darkens over the months. That is normal, and a soft cloth brings it back in a minute. Keep your pair dry, away from perfume, and the stone holds its sparkle for years.
